Exclusive Venue Hire

The Fairway Events Centre features a flexible, open-plan layout designed to maximise natural light and views of the surrounding Takapuna Golf Course.

The main area, the Fairway Room, is the largest space and can accommodate up to 300 guests for cocktail functions (standing guests) or 170 for seated banquets.

It includes a built-in dance floor and opens directly onto a sunny outdoor deck, which offers a lovely private outlook onto the Golf Course. 

We also have a smaller room called the Boardroom which is typically used as a dedicated buffet space, though some guests have used the space as a kids play room or as a break-out space or change room.

The layout is tied together by two separate foyer areas that provide a natural flow for guest arrivals and pre-event drinks. Because the rooms can be configured in various ways—theatre, classroom, or banquet style—the venue is highly adaptable for both corporate conferences and private celebrations.

The best part about hiring Fairway Events Centre is that you have complete exclusivity for the duration of the hire period and there are no noise restrictions.

The Venue Hire starts at $1800 – $2600 depending on your requirements and number of guests attending.

The Fairway Events Centre, managed by the Toast Group, provides a variety of in-house catering styles ranging from formal plated dinners to relaxed, interactive stations.

The primary menu options include:

  • Buffet Style Catering: Starting at $46.00 per person, this option offers a varied selection, including slow-roasted meats, fresh salads, and hot side dishes like garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes.
  • Platter or Family Style: At $68.00 per person, this social dining option brings large platters of proteins and sides directly to the tables for guests to share.
  • Food Carnival: A unique wedding concept starting at $75.00 per person that uses multiple food stations around the room, such as taco or slider bars, designed to encourage guests to mingle.
  • Chef’s Cafe Menu: Specifically for corporate conferences, this $25.00–$39.50 package includes gourmet wraps, sandwiches, chicken skewers, and seasonal salads.
  • Ladies High Tea: Priced at $27.00 per person, this menu is popular for baby showers and includes mini quiches, finger sandwiches, and sweet bites.
  • Finger Foods & Canapés: Flexible options starting at $6.00 per item, featuring choices like Wagyu sliders, prawn dumplings, and sweetcorn fritters.
  • Signature Spit Roast: A specialty of the house that includes three types of slow-roasted meats (typically pork, beef, and chicken) served with crackling and traditional gravy.

The Fairway Celebrations Package is designed to provide a comprehensive dining experience, featuring a buffet main course followed by dessert served directly to each table.

Package Inclusions:

  • Buffet Main Course: A full catering service featuring a selection of three slow-roasted meats (such as pork, beef, and chicken) served with a range of four salads, hot potatoes, and traditional gravy.
  • Petit Fours Dessert: For a more elegant finish, a selection of mini petit fours is served on platters directly to the tables for guests to share.
    • A typical selection includes:
        • Assorted macarons and lemon meringue tarts.
        • Chocolate caramel tarts and chocolate brownie bites.

Drinks Options at Fairway

Fairway Events Centre features a large outdoor deck area situated directly outside the Fairway Room, providing a serene environment with beautiful views of the Takapuna Golf Course. This versatile space is frequently used for soaking up sunshine in the summer months, enjoying sunset drinks, or to entertain guests. The outdoor area integrates seamlessly with the indoor facilities, allowing for a natural flow between different stages of an event.

Regarding its alcohol policy, the venue is a fully licensed premises that provides a dedicated bar service for all functions.

  • Bar Service Models: You can choose between a cash bar or a bar tab depending on your event needs.
  • Alcohol Policy: The venue maintains a strict No BYO (Bring Your Own) policy for all events.
  • Host Responsibility: As part of its licensing, the venue offers an affordable drinks menu and works with on-site catering to ensure host responsibilities are met.
  • Booking Requirements: Some event packages, particularly weddings and private parties, may require a minimum bar spend of $500.

You can choose to have Welcome Drinks in the front foyer or a second bar on the deck to make access easier for your guests attending.
